This stunning 1965 Mustang coupe has been the beneficiary of a top-shelf full restoration in 2013 – it is nice. The unmolested body received a superb 2-stage respray of original Sunlight Yellow (8-code) that is virtually flawless and the contrasting black vinyl roof was meticulously installed. The coupe’s clean lines are accented by excellent chrome and Mustang wire wheel covers mounted on steel wheels with 14” Hankook whitewall radials. The original deluxe ‘Pony Interior’ remains in very, very good condition. This option package consists of ‘galloping pony’ embossed seat covers, center console, wood grain appliques on instrument panel, 3-spoke wood grain alloy wheel and door panels w/courtesy lights. Other features include a cold A/C system w/new Sanderson compressor, five-dial instrument cluster and a factory AM sound system (needs TLC). The 200ci ‘Mileage Maker’ (T-code) 6-cylinder sits in a spotless engine compartment. It was also rebuilt in 2013 and delivers torque to a 3-speed Cruise-O-Matic transmission and factory differential. The electrical system is an alternator configuration and the chassis is fitted with manual steering and manual 4-wheel drum brakes. Finally a new exhaust system has been installed.
